To engage apprentices under the Apprentice Act, you must obtain a panel from the District Apprentice Adviser/Training Officer. They will be stationed in the RI Centre (Related Instruction Centre), typically attached to an ITI/Polytechnic of the State Department of Technical Education. Once you receive the list from the Apprentice Adviser, you can invite the candidates for an interview and select them as apprentices. Subsequently, you will need to enter into a contract of apprenticeship with the chosen candidate and their guardian. A copy of the contract should also be forwarded to the RI Centre. It is necessary to pay a stipend as fixed by the Central Government.
