Dear Sir
Recently i had join a manuf unit in Maharashtra. There is a observation of Factory Inspectors visit about Display Notice Board at Factory Gate as Abstract of the factory Act -1948 and Maharashtra Factories Rules 1963 in Form 26 shall be displayed.
I have a copy of Abstract of the factory Act which is too much lengthy for displaying on board at Factory gate.
I need your sincere help to know the contents of the Display board have to display at Factory Gate.
Also update me about other display boards which have to display at Factory Gate.other than Abstract of the factory Act

Dear Sir, You may take out prints of the Abstract and display on the Notice board which will be kept permanently, that will be sufficient. Regards Satyanarayana

Dear, You can tag the abstract together and hang it near the gate. There is no need to display each page seperately. Similarly the Standing Orders and Contract Labour Act abstracts have to be displayed. The wage payment dates have to be displayed under the Payment of Wages Act. The names of Factories Inspector, Contract Labour Inspector etc have also to be displayed.

under factories act, it is mandatory to dispay Name of Inspector Factory and also Name of Labour commissioner , under whose jurisdiction your factory is covered. with regard to display of Abstract, you a separate notice board be placed at the main entrace of the factory, this should be displayed always at the gate. Also you need to display Holidays list, First aid should be available with security.

It is suggested to have a dedicated notice board for display of abstracts & notices as there are many articles that need to be displayed.
As suggested by one of the members you can take a photocopy of the abstract from the book and display it in a taged form. Also you need to display abstracts of Payment of Gratuity Act, Maternity Benefit Act, Contract Labour Act, Payment of Wages Act, Workmens Compensation Act.
You can use this board to display other noitces under Factories Act, Contract labour Act, etc. as well as general information of the interest of the employees.

Dear All,
Apart from abstract of FA and other applicable enactments, under section 61 and rule 98 of FA a notice of periods of work in Form 16 is to be displayed. This notice is very very important.
