Muhammad Kashif
Respected all seniors,

I worked in Lahore.Pakistan as HR Assistant for 3years & now I am in Dubai as same positon last 4 months.

Sir, I would like to ask you which type of information in HR Department that (can not be disclosed upon irrelevent employees or other departments)

for example, Salaries are confidential or not....????

Actually, my HR Manager She is Philipino keep confidential when I ask her let me to prepare offer letter. She said it's confidential becasue all terms & conditions regarding employment are mentioned on it & salary sturcutur as well.

She doesn't show me even Offer letter whereas we are only 2 persons in HR Deptt.

In Pakistan my job duties were handle the monthly payroll & overtime, Preparation of Misc.Accounts as Bonus, increments, Gratuity & Final Settlements. I prepared offer letters, promotions, transfers, termination, contractual, probationary, confirmation and experience letters. In recruitment process, maintenance of applications and resume inventory. I also coordinate in making performance appraisal report of staff. and preparation of job descriptions.

My HR manager was shared everything with me in Pakistan. But now i am facing this problem

she keeps confidential as such things.

I don't know why, when I ask her something she just says it's confidential

Best regards,

Hi Karan,
You are Great but, not more than I. Actually, I already did that but just joking manner. She never mind about it & give me a cute smile. I don't know what she wants...?
Problem is that I am 27 year old & she is 26yr +11 months. She knows that I have good experience in HR so if I am not wrong I think she is playing / enjoying with me...! Many times she says, kashaf you are my best friend not my Assistant.
Anyway, you are right we should have to make our job fun.
Thanks

Hi Kashar,
I had also face such kind of problem in past, see you had just recently joined and I don't not about her duration. If it more the your duration then it will take some time and less then she has any perception about you.

Hi Mrugesh,
She has 1 year exp. in dubai. But in philipine she worked for 4yrs. That's means she has 2 yr more experience than mine in HR.
In dubai, it's not easy to change your job because employee made an employment contract for 3yr. He can never break that contract before 3yr if he breaks that contract then UAE Immigration Deptt. impose 6months ban to work in UAE. He can not work for 6months in UAE. It's not like Pakistan & India.
So, I am not in positon to change my job. Sir, If i am not wrong I make my relationship with her more friendly then let's see what will happen.
What's your opinion...sir
Many Thanks

Hi Kashaf,
You are absolutely Correct wait and see because in any company you can expect things to happen in your way when you join recently.
Keep your patience and dont bother about the things which are not in your hands keep working and get good impresssion then all the things comes in your way.
This is the only manthra; that you have to prove that you can work well and you have to get the impression infront of your boss that you are trust worthy then things automatically happens in your way.
Be smart and be bold dont let the things slip out of your hands.

Hi Kashaf,
It's simple one. In your HR Dept, two of them are there. When u joined this organization? See, the problem is, previously , she used to handle all the HR activity and makes management seems to be busy with her work. when you joined in this concern , she doesn't want to loose her work and not showing interest on you to learn much things about companies work.
It means to say - " Internal Politics" . You need to tackle and come out this circle to prove yourself.
Kashaf, you already got much more experience in HR in your previous company. Get the attention of your management to your side and at any cost don't leak any news to your employees about politics in your dept.

Hi Kashaf,
It is probably just her own policy. You mentioned about what you did when you were in Pakistan but what is it that you do now? Same duties? Anyway, I had a similar experience before, my boss, well ex-boss, allowed me to access information up to a certain level only while she kept those in the same level or higher. The reason? "its confidential" or 'need to know basis'. I was only able to access the information in the personal file if and when I handled Industrial Relations matters.
Perhaps as it is also because you joined recently (am I correct?). So, probably to your boss, revealing sensitive information to you so soon would not be prudent.
Anyway, to me, you shouldn't worry too much about not having the information such as salary and the T&C. So long as you have the relevant and necessary information to do your job, I think you should be just fine.
You may want to think about creating and strengthening trust between you and your superior.

Hi,
Well this happens in all Major HR house, Because it is one among the policy to keep records clean and safe from other eyes. The only reason behind this is to create good working atmosphere not competative atmosphere.
@ any given point of time if i came to know about the person sitting next to me has more salary than me and working more or less same as my work..that leads to conflict within.
To avoid all this HR keeps records safe and secert.
Hope this helps,
