Provident Fund Interest Calculator - My Dues

nitesh_barman Started The Discussion:

Hi,
Here have attached a Excel File, in which you can calculate your Provident Fund Interest.
Just put your contribution for the any year and interest rate for that year, and calculation will be made by file it self.

Thanks & Regards,
Nitesh Barman

Hi Nitesh Barman,
Is this a correct format? Because itseems to be wrong when i calculate my PF+EPF by adding it & putting interest(9.50%) on the whole figure iam getting very less amount as interest.
As per my knowledge PF calculates only once in a year (after April). But here in this format it is being calculated every month. How is this possible.

Vinay Kumar

Hi,
may be you are right that interest is credited to your account in the month of april, but but calculation is made in each month of contribution, it's called compound calculation of interest, i think you have heard about it.

Hey,
Please find the file which is attached to this posting. I have attached my PF contribution, where i do not hve opening balance in my account because this is a new account. So, in the attachment you can find my estimated amount where it gonna be a output at the year ending(April).
I have joined here(Zenara Pharma) on 13th May & that time my basic was 5818 & my PF was 698.
Check it out whether its correct or not.
& also please let me know calculation on each & every month. What %we are going to add on each month.

Regards,
Vinay Kumar

TO THE PF OFFICE DWARKA,NEWDELHI.
It is with tremendous regret I have to inform you that despite couriering my PF documents to your office about an year back,& despite the courier(First Flight )P.O.D saying documents delivered, your office could not give me the status. I later came to know that since you were shifting from Wazirpur to Dwarka, the document was not delivered to your Dwarka office. How can a govt. body act so irresponsibly, because until we get the new address(which was not in your website),me like many other people would have sent to the address registered in the website(surprisingly there was no forwarding mechanism of documents from old office to new office & more astonishingly there were no phone no.s available for the new office.!!!
More alarmingly, after that ,despite placing my PF form fully filled with all the documents, by physically going to your Dwarka office in April in person &( your office provided a Hindi inland card with my PF Account no. as a proof of receipt),I am yet to get the disbursal from your side. I left my last company-Sapphire Insurance Agencies on 18th January 2010,so it is more than one & half years gone without me realizing my due, but more alarmingly despite submitting the forms hand to hand in your Dwarka office ,your online status system shows” record not found" against my a/c no. Addding to this, when I physically checked on the status by going to your Dwarka office again(it’s virtually impossible to go to Delhi from kolkata every time to check the status) 1 month ago, I was told that the papers were sent to Kolkata & status will appear soon on the online status portal. But predictably it is status quo, online status system still shows”record not found" against my a/c no .How long will your office continue to harass people in need like me?? Do I need to go to Delhi every week from Kolkata or take a temporary residency or put up a camp in your office till my dues get settled??
I request you to solve this matter & disburse my claim asap , failing which, I will be left with no alternative but to escalate the matters to GOI ministry &authorities, e.g. Finance minister, Chief minister, (central & state),ministry of consumer grievances & even PMO.
For your reference my PF a/c no. is –DL/937257/16

SAUMYA

this sounds to be a very serious issue that could land the concerned EPFO into trouble......
you could send a detailed representation with all relevant attachments to the Regional Commissioner-I of the concerned office together with the concerned zonal vigilance department of the EPFO, also a copy to the Chief Vigilance officer, EPFO, New Delhi......respective nos are available on www.epfindia.gov.in/directory

you could parallelly register your grievance on www.epfindia.gov.in/grievance registration portal. if subsequent to this, your PF is not released, send a legal notice through a lawyer and file a consumer dispute with the nearest consumer disputes redressal forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 1972

pls revert for any further help in the matter

thanks and regards

Dear Nitesh,
The excel sheet you prepared is excellent. But there is one draw back in this just want to take you there. When I calculate PF accumulation and interest with some opening balance, it works excellent. But at the same time when it is worked out with new account, it fails to calculate the accurate interest. Just edit it yourself or provide me password or unprotected file, I will do it. But really I appreciate your efforts to make it.
With lots of complements,
Abhijit.
