Can anybody help me in understanding competency models? How many models are there for competency mapping and how are they implemented, and what criteria should be kept in mind for implementing different models?

Thank you for uploading this useful stuff. Competency models could be customized depending on the business needs of various industries and levels. There are some competency models like the iceberg model, but other than that, these days each company goes for their own customized competency model.
