Dear All,

I am working on an assignment about the labor laws that would be applicable to a 3-star hotel in Chennai. I have visited the labor department of the Tamil Nadu website and have obtained a list of all the laws that fall under the purview of the department. I also have a basic knowledge of all the major labor laws.

I need your advice on how to validate the information I have and also some sort of action plan on how I could proceed with the implementation of these. Which are the other government bodies I should refer to, etc.? Some inputs from people in the industry would be extremely useful in terms of the pitfalls ahead and points to remember.

Please do help... This is quite urgent.

Labour laws, as you are aware, consist of two parts: Central Acts and State Acts. Please meet the Assistant Labour Commissioner in the Labour Department of Tamil Nadu State for information regarding the State Acts; he will guide you accordingly.
