Kindly share the notification to declare a holiday for the elections in Karnataka. Additionally, I'd like to confirm whether declaring a holiday for this purpose is mandatory. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

In Karnataka, unlike other states, the Karnataka Industrial Establishments National and Festival Holidays Act itself has a provision that election day should be declared a holiday. Please refer to section 3A of the Act.
