Dear Sir, I have a query related to gratuity. I am working for manufacture and got resigned.
My Date of joining: 27-Aug-2018
My last date in the company: 10-Aug-2023
I have worked for 4 years 11 months 2 weeks, please let me know whether am I eligible to claim the gratuity amount.

Your Employer should consider you for Gratuity .

4.6 years of service is not eligible for Gratuity.
As per Section 4 of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 an employee will become eligible for gratuity on completion of continuous service of 5 years only. 6 month criteria you are referring is meant only for the purpose of computation of gratuity for the subsequent year
