One of my friends worked with three different organizations and is currently not employed anywhere. He transferred his PF accumulation from Company 1 to Company 2. He worked for Company 2 and left service by 20th Jan '21. However, the employer updated his Date of Exit (DOE) as 31st Jan '21, and the contribution was also remitted. Subsequently, he joined another company the very next day and left the job by 30th Jan '21. The third employer didn't remit PF for the service rendered but closed the DOE as 30th Jan '21. Now, my friend is unable to raise a withdrawal claim and retrieve his contribution. It has been escalated to his last employer several times, but there has been no response. Please provide your inputs on how to proceed with the claim.
Thank you.

Steps to Resolve PF Withdrawal Issue:
🔍 Investigate the Situation:
- Request detailed PF account statements from all three employers to verify the contributions made and the Date of Exit (DOE) recorded.
📝 Document Communication:
- Keep a record of all communication with the employers regarding the PF withdrawal issue, including emails, letters, and any acknowledgments.
📅 Contact EPFO:
- Reach out to the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to explain the situation and seek guidance on the next steps to resolve the discrepancy.
📄 Submit a Complaint:
- File a formal complaint with the EPFO against the non-cooperative employer who did not remit PF contributions for the service rendered.
📞 Follow Up Regularly:
- Persistently follow up with the EPFO and the non-compliant employer to ensure that the issue is addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
💼 Legal Action:
- If necessary, consider seeking legal advice or taking legal action against the employer who failed to remit the PF contributions as per the employment agreement and statutory requirements.
🤝 Seek Support:
- Engage with a legal advisor or a professional HR consultant who specializes in labor laws and PF matters to assist in navigating the resolution process effectively.
By following these steps and actively pursuing the matter with the EPFO and the non-compliant employer, your friend can work towards resolving the PF withdrawal issue and retrieving the rightful contributions.
Remember, persistence and documentation are key in such situations to ensure a successful resolution.
