Clarification on Salary Deductions Under the Payment of Wages Act 1936

Legally, how much amount can be recovered from the salary if an employee is earning more than 50,000 per month? According to the Payment of Wages Act 1936, in Section 7, only 50% is allowed to be deducted from the salary. However, the Payment of Wages Act 1936 applies to wages payable to an employed person in respect of a wage period if such wages do not exceed the threshold stipulated under the Act, which is currently Rs. 24,000.

Can somebody clarify on an urgent basis?
