I'm working with a private limited company from which I'm planning to resign. The notice period on paper is 2 months. Over the last few years, there have been several unpaid salary debts which have now accumulated to a huge sum. Since there is a large sum due, am I still entitled to serve the notice period? If yes, what are my options if the company is creating trouble in my relieving process?

You are required to serve the notice period notwithstanding the unpaid salary of the past. You can make a request to adjust such payments against the buyout, but it is discretionary with the management. Try to work out a satisfactory relieving after talking to all concerned.
