I resigned from my organization on the 6th of March 2020 due to a medical emergency, yet I have not received my relieving letter from the employer. When I inquire with HR, they provide vague responses, mentioning that the relieving letter has been sent and I will receive it soon. However, it has been 5 months, and I have still not received it.
Please advise me on what steps I should take next.

Steps to Address Delayed Relieving Letter
Did you obtain the resignation acceptance letter? If yes, take it up with the management. If HR is telling stories, approach the Chief Executive of the company. If possible, meet personally to discuss and sort out the issue. However, the formalities from your side should be clean and correct as per the HR policies and the appointment letter clause on separation.
