Important Labor Law Update
In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 67 of the Code on Wages, 2019, the Central Government has released the draft Code on Wages (Central) Rules, 2020, which intends to supersede eight existing Central Rules, including the Minimum Wages (Central) Rules, 1950, and Payment of Wages (Central) Rules, 1937.
Comments can be provided on the Code within 45 days of its publication.

If the wage code comes into existence, will state compliance registers such as Form 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 like Muster roll, wages register, wage slip continue, or do we need to follow new formats as per the Wage code centrally?
