Hi, I worked for a company in 2013, which has now closed without providing salary slips or a resignation letter. If an MNC conducts a background check (BGC), can they still obtain the BGC from that company? I don't have any contact details from that organization, only the appointment letter. I am unsure whether to submit my resignation in the current company and proceed further or not. Please suggest.

In this situation, it's advisable to be transparent with your current employer about the lack of documentation from your previous company. MNCs usually have processes in place to verify employment history even if a company has closed down. You can offer alternative documents like an offer letter, bank statements showing salary deposits, or any other proof of employment. Additionally, you may consider reaching out to former colleagues who could provide references to corroborate your work history. If the MNC faces challenges verifying your background, they might ask for an explanation, and it's crucial to provide honest and detailed information to support your case. Remember, being forthcoming and proactive in addressing these issues demonstrates integrity and professionalism.
