Dear All,
Greetings,
I am Karthik, working as an HR in a manufacturing company. I deal with PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements. I want to explore this field along with recruitment. During this process, I have come to know that obtaining a certificate in LLB or Labor Studies could help in my HR career. However, I am confused about which path to choose between them.
Please suggest me.
Thank you,
Karthik G

Hi Karthik,
Since you are already working in the HR field, initially, a Master's Degree in Personnel Management and Labour Studies would be advantageous. In this two-year full-time course, you will be able to learn and work on projects in various areas of HR, Personnel Management, and Labour Laws. This will make you an HR/Personnel Management specialist. Later, you can pursue an LLB if necessary as an additional qualification in case you want to specialize as a labor law legal expert. This would be an added advantage.
All the best.

Dear Colleague,
Any full-time course in HR would require you to leave your present job. Since you are handling labor law compliance responsibilities, it would be more appropriate to pursue a diploma in Labor Laws, which will give you a better edge.
