Hi, I am doing a course in HR certification. I have been assigned to develop a scorecard for a blood bank in a single slide. I am confused about how to prepare it. Could you please guide me, seniors? If you have any tips or formats available, please help me.
Thanks,
Sukanya Mukherjee

Though I have not worked in a hospital or been associated with a blood bank, from my consulting experience in Performance Management Systems (PMS), I have designed KPIs for blood banks. You may use the following KPIs to measure the performance of a blood bank:
a) Capacity utilization: Storage capacity used against storage capacity available.
b) Turnaround time: Average number of days/weeks for which the average bottle remained on the shelf.
c) Obsolescence: Percentage of blood bottles that became obsolete because of overage (remained with the blood bank beyond the expiry date). The formula is (Number of bottles that became obsolete * 100 / Total bottle capacity).
d) Quality: Percentage of blood bottles rejected because of contamination that went undetected at the blood bank.
