Dear Sir/Madam,

What is the procedure for annual increment if an employee has exhausted all leaves and is given leave without pay during one financial year? Should the employee's increment or due promotion be withheld when he or she resumes duty in an autonomous or PSU organization?

Was the EOL on medical grounds? If employee was on EOL his increment will get delayed by that period.

In PSUs, the normal rule is that the increment gets postponed by those number of days for which the employee is on leave without pay. B.Saikumar HR & Labour Relations Adviser Navi Mumbai
