Dear Shraddha,

Ideally, the employer is supposed to submit PF withdrawal forms to the PF office. However, there is no such restriction, and the employee is also allowed to submit the form to the PF office. This process may take more time for clearance, thus it is better to submit through the employer only.

Dear Shraddha, There is no hard fast rule to state who should submit the form. Employer has to assign the form with the DOJ,DOL for the employee, either the employer or the employee can submit.

As per the latest procedure, there is a form to withdraw, provided it should be endorsed by the employer. The purpose of withdrawal should be mentioned in the form, and Aadhar and PAN should be enclosed. That's all, a very simple process.

If the UAN is linked with the Aadhaar card, it is not necessary to visit the employer for attestation on the form. The member can directly send the application to the concerned PF office and receive the payment in their bank account.

Company Culture and PF Form Submission

It depends on the company culture. In companies where mostly blue-collar (uneducated) employees work, HR personnel typically fill out their PF forms to avoid any mistakes and submit them to the PF office for withdrawal along with the company’s acknowledgment letter. If the PF office rejects any PF form for any reason, they directly send a rejection notice to the company's address, and then the HR department resolves the issue. However, if you are confident enough, you can fill out the PF form yourself and submit it to the PF office (after obtaining the authorized signature on the form). Otherwise, you can request your HR to submit your PF form.
