Hi Folks,
I am in the midst of the selection procedure for a senior manager in my company from the existing manpower pool. In the same process, I had posted an IJP (Internal Job Posting) to all eligible employees. In reply to that, I received a large number of applications, but I found only a few to be suitable based on certain criteria. Now, I need to conduct the first HR round of interviews for these applicants. So, I would like all of you to suggest potential questions for this interview.
Please help me by providing a couple of questions for the same.

As you prepare for the first HR round of interviews for the senior manager position, it's crucial to ask questions that assess both the technical competencies and the leadership qualities required for the role. Here are some potential questions you can consider:
1. Can you provide an example of a successful project you led from inception to completion? How did you ensure the project stayed on track and met its objectives?
2. How do you handle conflicts within your team? Can you share a specific example and the outcome of your conflict resolution approach?
3. In what ways have you contributed to the professional development of your team members in your current or previous roles?
4. How do you stay updated on industry trends and best practices relevant to your field?
5. Can you describe a challenging decision you had to make recently and how you arrived at that decision?
6. What strategies do you employ to foster a positive work culture and employee engagement within your team?
7. How do you prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively, especially when dealing with multiple projects simultaneously?
These questions can help you gauge the candidates' experience, problem-solving skills, leadership style, and alignment with the company's values and goals. Tailor the questions to suit your specific requirements and organizational culture.
