Hello, I am SShenoyB (would like to be anonymous). I would like to know a few things. Before that, let me brief you about the current situation.
I started my first job at Mphasis Ltd as a CSR in BPO in February 2014. In July 2015, I was notified that Mphasis was going to be acquired by HGS. I completed the documentation on August 17, 2015. On the day of documentation, I received a set of documents, including a letter of appointment dated September 1, 2015, from HGS, an F&F letter from Mphasis, and a letter from Mphasis stating that I would be relieved from my duties on August 31, 2015. However, I have not yet received my relieving letter and experience letter. I requested details from my manager and was informed that the relieving letter and experience letter will only be provided when I quit my current job at HGS after serving the notice period. When I contacted HR, I was threatened to be blacklisted.
Now, please advise on what steps to take under these circumstances. How can I obtain my relieving letter and experience letter from Mphasis?

In July 2015, there was a notification about the acquisition of Mphasis by HGS. Were you explicitly told to submit your papers, or did you resign on your own? While companies do get acquired, why did this acquisition impact your continuation in the company?
Experience Certificate Inquiry
Regarding inquiring about the experience certificate, why did HR get so annoyed and threaten to blacklist you? Was there friction between you? Did you unintentionally touch a nerve?

Your existing company was acquired by another. You received a new appointment letter and a full and final settlement letter from the old company. It was an acquisition, not a termination. So, why are you asking for a relieving letter? Your manager has already informed you that you will receive a relieving letter from the new company when you leave. Why do you need to bother the HR department when they have already explained things clearly to you?
