I worked in a public limited company that went bankrupt, so I left it in October 2013. Unfortunately, there has been no response from the HR department or the company regarding my PF fund transaction. I am unsure whether I should withdraw the funds or transfer them to my new PF account. It's important to note that my previous PF account is in another state. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you in advance.

You should have received your PF number and the company's PF number. With this information, you can proceed to the EPFO website to view your balance details. Similarly, you can also visit the Home page of the EPFO website in the employee section, where you will find all the details such as:

- Know Which Claim Form to Submit
- Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP)

First of all, thanks for answering my question. My actual problem is that there is no HR department person from my previous employer responding regarding my PF, as the company is no longer operational and has gone bankrupt. So, how can I retrieve my money?

Procedure to Transfer PF

Please guide me through the procedure to transfer my PF from my previous employee account to my current PF account. My previous account is in the Mumbai Malad PF office, and my current account is in the Ahmedabad office in Gujarat.

Thank you.

Please fill Form No. 13 for the transfer from your previous employer to your current employer. Since you mentioned there is no HR, you can obtain the signature of an authorized person from your company whose signature is recognized by the PF office. Afterward, submit the form to the PF Office in Mumbai. Also, remember to provide your old PF number to the new company you have joined. I hope this clarifies your doubts.

I hope you have a better understanding of the PF transfer process now. If you have not submitted Form 13 yet, it's very simple. You can go ahead and visit the homepage of PF to get online registration for your PF member account and follow the further process accordingly.

I would like to suggest that you fill out the withdrawal forms and submit them to the PF office. The signatures of the employer or an authorized signatory can be substituted by individuals such as your bank manager or a gazetted officer. This will be beneficial to you if you have your PF number. In your case, it is the best solution if you do not want to transfer your PF to your current company.
