Hi! I am due for a transfer soon that will require me to handle Provident Fund-related matters from start to finish, and I have no idea where to begin. Can someone please suggest how I should go about this since I have no formal education in this?

Hi, Suggest you to elaboartely go through THE EMPLOYEES’ PROVIDENT FUNDS AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS ACT, 1952 at least once. You will be benefited. Thanks regards Bijay

Besides studying the Act, you should also study the EPF Scheme, 1952 as well as the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995. Please also visit the EPFO website for a wealth of information on the Act and Scheme. This would be a good starting point.

Specific study of the various forms and registers to be maintained will also help a lot.

As per my personal experience, instead of reading books, it is better to learn practically from people who know well about PF matters. PF is not a simple subject; we have to learn a lot.
