Hello team, I was really worried about the procedure for withdrawing my PF amount before coming to this blog. Now, I think this is the place I was looking for to solve all of my queries. Some of my queries regarding PF are as follows:

1. My contribution towards PF is INR 6069, but my employer's contribution is only INR 1857. (However, I heard that there is equal contribution by both).
2. Which forms should I fill out for the withdrawal?
3. What is the procedure to get a refund of the PF amount?
4. Is there any role of the past employer in the refund of PF?

Dear friend,

I shall reply to your queries.

1. The employer and employee have to contribute equally to EPF. However, out of the 12% of the employer's contribution, 8.33% will be allocated to the pension fund, while the remaining amount (3.67%) will be credited to EPF. This discrepancy explains the difference in these contributions.

2. For withdrawals from PF and the pension fund, Form 19 and 10C, respectively, are utilized.

3 & 4. Apply through the concerned employer.

During October 2012, I left a private company and was involved in my own business without any PF deductions. Then, in April 2014, I withdrew my PF and gratuity funds.

Now, I am looking to re-enter the workforce. Do I need to fill out a new PF form, or can I continue using my old PF number, which I had withdrawn completely before?

Your prompt response is appreciated.

Agreed with Abbas.

Regarding your query, please confirm whether you have completed 6 months of service or not. If not, then you cannot withdraw your EPS part. You will be eligible for the PF part only.
