Hi, I joined an organization 14 months ago as a fresher with a CTC of 3.75 LPA. However, according to my salary slip, I am receiving a miscellaneous bonus of Rs. 10,000 and an extra night shift allowance of Rs. 6,000 every month, which brings the total salary component to 5.65 LPA (3.75 + 1.2 + 0.72).
Switching Jobs: CTC vs. Take-Home Salary
Now, my concern is that I am planning to switch my job and am confused about the CTC and take-home salary. I understand that if I perform well in the interview, the new compensation may not be a big issue. However, in case it is not as expected, should I negotiate my new compensation based on CTC or take-home salary?
Please provide your advice. Thank you!

Negotiating Salary with Salary Slip vs. CTC
Your salary slip is more relevant compared to the CTC statement that was given when you joined. Show the salary slip when you negotiate your salary. To make it easier, tell the interviewer that the CTC was what was originally offered, but they also gave you this additional amount. However, the CTC in the offer letter still shows the old rates.
