I hope many of you are experienced here, so that you can answer and give me a hint for my interview. I am an MBA - HR final year student now. I have been to several interviews and have been asked these two questions frequently. Though I know several answers, I want a comprehensive answer that will be complete. Here are the questions:

1. "What is/are the difference(s) between IT and Non-IT recruitment?"
2. "How is the HR function different in IT and in a Non-IT firm?"

Help me as soon as possible.

Before your query is answered, I would like to know your answers. The questions are simple; what matters is how you have conveyed your response. Please remember, during an interview, which is basically an assessment of the suitability of a candidate, it does not matter if the candidate knows the answers to every question or not. More than the exact answers, what matters more is how they are being conveyed. In fact, even accepting one's ignorance gracefully is also not considered bad.

Hope I am able to convey what I meant.

Illustrating with an Example

To illustrate further, let me take an example from your own post about the "HOW" part. You have written:

"I hope many of you are experienced here, so that you can answer and give me a hint for my interview."

What does this sentence convey about you to a person who does not know you? It sounds as if you are throwing up a question as a challenge! "I hope many of you are experienced here..." implies as if you do not really believe that many here have experience, but you would like or hope that they do indeed have some experience!

I do understand that it is not your intention; but that is how it comes across.

Please come up with your answers that you had expressed during the interview. I assure you, you shall get the right advice or suggestion.

Warm regards.
