Hi dear friends, I need your suggestion. I have worked as an HR in an IT firm for 3 years, and I have a two-year gap due to an accident. Recently, I applied for a job and received an offer from an automobile company for a contract role. I am confused about whether to accept it or not, as my experience is in HR in an IT company. Will I have any career growth if I accept this offer? Kindly suggest me.

Thank you so much for the reply. Yes, it is a dealership with a service center. There are a lot of responsibilities involved in this role, but I would like to know whether this experience will count when I apply for big MNCs (especially IT companies) after a few years.
Thanks and regards,
Dev

A dealership is a small organization where you will have to handle all aspects of HR. In IT companies, the functioning is similar, but there are many employees in the HR department, so the work gets distributed. The main challenge will be with recruitment: in a dealership, it will involve hiring technicians, service advisors, and sales consultants, while in IT, it will be Java developers, QA engineers, and so on. However, the basic processes will remain the same everywhere.
