I am working in HR in an organization that has a chain of hotels in Pune and outside. I have a certain query:

1. What is the leave structure (CL, PL, etc.) applicable? Is it compulsory for the company to have these leaves in a calendar year?

Dear Seniors Can you provide the Leave norms and no. of Leave for Hotel employees in Tamil Nadu and the Holidays declared for the year 2013 in Chennai - Hotels . Regards Shan

Hotels and restaurants are covered under the Tamil Nadu Catering Establishments Act in Tamil Nadu. This act provides only earned leave as in the Factories Act. There is no provision for other categories. The act also provides for 5 festival holidays and 4 national holidays.
