We have not come across any special provision in the CL Act, BOCW, or any labor laws related to the payment of additional or extra wages for working at heights.

In a PSU, we have work contracts, and we subcontract to scaffolding specialists. As per the terms, an additional allowance is paid above the normal wage, and medical fitness is required at all times.
Some provisions exist in the Factories Act. I am not sure if these provisions are in the CL Act or BOCW. Mr. Khola, your comments are awaited.

Dear Shaikh Abedeen, In my opinion Factories Act, 1948 also does not have any such provision for making extra wages for doing work at height. Regards, R N KHOLA
