Hi, this is Nitesh Barman from Jaipur. I graduated in 2003 (B.Sc.), and then in 2005, I joined a middle-growth type business group called "Dangayach Group," which deals in various types of industries. I was assigned to its Jewels Manufacturing & Exports Unit. Initially, I started as a normal Computer Operator, capable of handling various computer-related tasks. Gradually, I was given additional responsibilities such as maintaining the entire manufacturing process in software, handling complete payroll tasks (PF, ESIC, Tax, Salary, etc.), managing import-export documentation, and generating MIS reports of various types. Our unit is located in a Special Economic Zone, so I am responsible for adhering to the zone's regulations. It has been my 5th year here.

Career Direction and CV Heading

So, my question is, in what direction is my career profile heading? What heading should be given in my Curriculum Vitae? Is it Back Office Operations or a mix of HR & Back Office roles? Or something else? Additionally, what courses should I consider to enhance my career profile? Please provide me with appropriate suggestions.

I am also attaching my CV for your reference. Kindly suggest any improvements.

Regards,
Nitesh Barman

Hi Nitesh, Wow! Actually, you have been handling the responsibilities of multiple departments, including export, accounts, and HR, which is really impressive. Now, it depends on your interests regarding which specific area you are passionate about pursuing, as working across such diverse profiles in the long term may not be beneficial.

You have experience in managing export documentation. I recommend considering a course or postgraduate program in export-import management, as it will undoubtedly aid in your career progression.

There is one error in your CV - in the HR section, it should be "handling joining and relieving formalities" instead of "releaving."

All the best, Archna

I know for a long time it will not help me, and my interest is in Human Resources. So, should I do an MBA or what? And if I do CS & Law now, will it be helpful for my career? I'm really very confused.
