Hi, I joined a software company a month ago, and I want to resign without serving the notice period. The employment letter states the following:
"Employment Termination Clause"
"Your services prior to confirmation are liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons after giving you one month's notice or salary in lieu thereof."
Please let me know what legal actions the company can take against me if I do not serve the notice period or pay the salary in lieu.

Hi, I guess you didn't get the actual meaning of this line: "Your services prior to confirmation are liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons after giving you one month's notice or salary in lieu thereof." It says that your employer can terminate you after serving one month's notice or salary to you. Also, there must be another clause that you forgot to mention, I guess, wherein you have to serve one month's notice to your employer before leaving your job or resigning.
Well, the first thing I want to know is why you want to leave your current job when you have just joined this organization. Why? Do you have other options in your hand or have you already secured a job somewhere else?
