Excellent article. Given the fact that most HR we find today is transactional HR (salary & benefits, personnel files) or to some extent Core HR (performance appraisals, training, etc.). This just underlines the importance of strategic HR like the Visa/Immigration departments or the Resource Management functions, which are sometimes just loosely clubbed into HR. Such functions are very much capable of contributing directly to support business.
