Hi all,

Could someone please inform me of the various job responsibilities of a receptionist and suggest any additional tasks that can be assigned? This is within the software industry, and there are not many calls coming in. Therefore, I would like to provide her with some extra responsibilities. I have already assigned some admin-related tasks.

Hi, An efficient receptionist shud be given charge of looking after stationery requirement & keeping a track of the same, courrier management etc. Regards, Anjali

Hi,

As Anjali said, you can assign her the stationery requirement work, courier work, petty cash transactions (i.e., writing vouchers, etc.) after the purchase of items for office use like tube lights, fans, water containers/bottles, etc.

The receptionist can also keep track of the attendance details/leaves of the employees in case the size of your company is small. Additionally, they can maintain copies of general bills of the office, such as electricity, mineral water, phone bills, etc.
