I have been browsing this website, and I have always seen that it's very informative and useful. I would like you all to help me. I have just joined my company, and they have asked me to write down the job descriptions for all the jobs that exist. The job descriptions should be such that we should be able to measure the employee's work on that basis. For example, for an Accountant, it should state entering 200 invoices. It should be set at a minimum, and when that is exceeded, it is excellent. So basically, the staff will be evaluated based on the job descriptions.

Hi Farida,
I would like to tell you one thing that one cannot decide everybody's job description, especially if your goal is to compare it with performance appraisal. You have to sit with the department heads/managers to define each title's job description. They are the key members to analyze individual performance and are better suited to define the time for the completion of targets. Therefore, they are the best people to tell you the job description of each individual title.
