Hi, training requirement identification is a prerequisite for an effective training program and individual development. Normally, training identification is done through the performance appraisal sheets. This is because the superior will identify the training required for their subordinate. Other methods for training identification can be done through individual interaction with superiors, where they will communicate the training requirements. A systematic study can be conducted through questionnaires, considering the business needs of the company and its technology transfer.
Training can be technical, conceptual, or soft skill training. The following proverb holds true: "If you give a man a fish for a day, you will alleviate his hunger for the day. If you teach a man to fish, you will alleviate his hunger forever."

Dear Members,
I am working on a project related to the subject mentioned above. Could anyone please provide me with the different practices adopted by software companies? If possible, kindly share a list of software companies in Chennai along with the contact person in the HR department. I am planning to conduct a one-on-one questionnaire/schedule with them to complete the research study for my MPhil.

Venkat
