Dear Nlesh,

This is to inform you that the Labour Welfare Fund Act is a State Act. Most of the states have enacted this Act and also have framed its rules. Therefore, first tell us where your unit is functioning.

Hi,

I am working in a PSU as an HR executive. We adhere to the Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Act. In this setup, employees (worker category) are entitled to benefits such as free tailoring classes for their dependents and complimentary resort accommodation during vacation time. Each year, the employer's contribution is Rs. 10, while the worker's side is Rs. 5.

Dear Poonam,

Your query is not clear. Do you want details on labor welfare fund contributions for both states, or do you seek information on the labor enactments of both states?

Dear Mr. Sudheer,

Please go through the Labour Welfare Fund Act Rules in the Factories Act, 1948 in detail. You may also obtain the necessary forms as per your requirements.

As per the AP Labour Welfare Fund Act rules, every employee other than supervisors must have Rs. 2 deducted towards the Welfare Fund contribution from their December Salary/Wages each year. Additionally, Rs. 5 must be deducted towards the employer contribution, making a total of Rs. 7 per employee to be paid towards the Labour Welfare Fund Account in the prescribed challan. The details of the payment particulars should be submitted in Form-F (See Rule-6) along with a covering letter addressed to The Welfare Commissioner, AP Labour Welfare Board-Hyderabad, before the 31st of January every year.

I hope the above information is sufficient.

Thanks & Regards
