Hi,

I am working in a software company and wanted to start a formal induction plan for new employees. Can you help me out with some PowerPoint slides or guidelines on how I should proceed further while conducting inductions? What are the important things that need to be included?

A couple of points to keep in mind while preparing the PPT for Induction:

a) History of Company / Company Background
b) Organizational Culture, Vision, and Mission of the Organization
c) Organizational Structure
d) Hierarchy of each Department
e) Names of HODs
f) Company Policy - Rules and Regulations (Not required in PPT but a handout needs to be given to new joiners)
g) IT and Security Policy
h) Attendance and Leave Policy
i) Dress Code
j) Cultural events celebrated in the organization (Annual Function, sports, etc.)
k) Contact Person for any queries (e.g., Contact person for PF transfer or Salary Problem).

The induction session can be very boring at times. Try to organize a game session that can bring some fun into induction. The use of motivational videos in the PPT can make the induction more interesting.

The most important thing - Keep it simple.

2) Company's products and services
3) Vision, mission, values, and objectives
4) Top Management's Message (MD & President)
5) Names of the customers
6) Annual turnover rate
