Dear Sirs,

Someone has sent me the act for Gujarat. It is different from the version that is being put up on this website, probably because it contains Gujarat state amendments. I would like to know if this is indeed correct. Section 35 gives all types of leave (21 PL with 63 days carryforward, 7 SL, 7 CL), whereas the Bombay Act refers to only annual leave of 21 days.

Please have this checked legally if possible and post for the benefit of all readers.

Dear All, As per Bombay Shop Act, You should give PL - 21 in 1 year. There are no any provision for CL & SL.

I'm really thankful for your valuable knowledge shared with the help of documents. Apart from this, I have one single query. If a person has completely attended 300 working days without any leaves in a financial year, then for how many leaves or days is he entitled for encashment/accumulation for further leave? Is he entitled to more than 21 days or not?

Thanking you,

Regards,
Niket Shah
