Dear Seniors,
Currently, I am working as an Assistant Manager (HR & Admin) for an engineering company in Kolkata. Now, I am looking for a prospective career either in Delhi or in Bangalore.
Very recently, I received an email from Decon Engg. HRD, Coimbatore. They advised me to submit my qualification certificates (xerox) along with a DD of Rs. 2000/-. They also assured me on the phone that the job will be confirmed, and there is no chance of rejection, only the post will be suitable.
After the submission of my documents along with the DD, I received a forwarding appointment letter from DECO-ENG, Coimbatore, which is addressed to Vaishnavi Associates, Gandhi Nagar, Bangalore, where I need to go for appearing for an interview.
Since I have no idea about this consultancy (Vaishnavi Associates), I would like to request the seniors to give some inputs regarding this matter. Is there any chance of being cheated?
Regards

Dear Dino,
First of all, in the current scenario, no company or consultant is charging any money from the candidates. When they ask you for money, at that moment, you should have questioned it yourself or sought advice on the HR site.
If you have already sent the DD to those who requested it, do you happen to have their CBE number? If you do, call and inquire about the address.
If you cannot locate any information about the company or consultancy, then consider that you have been deceived.
Before sending any money to a company or consultancy, check whether the company exists on the website of the Registrar of Firms.
