Hi Sajid,
I am very much interested in working in Bahrain. I am from Hyderabad, India, and currently working as an HR Manager with over 8 years of experience in this field. I would like to know the rules and regulations regarding obtaining a visit visa so that I can be present in Bahrain for interviews. Please advise me on the same.

Dear Siraj,
Thank you for writing to the CiteHR Forum. Firstly, please make it very clear that it is illegal to visit Bahrain on a visit visa and search for jobs. This is not the correct way for a job search. I know people do take this route, but they are at a loss in the long run. People who come on visit visas, search for jobs, attend interviews, but it is always seen that 90 percent of the time these candidates are negotiated for peanuts, and they accept jobs on a very low pay scale just for the sake of getting an employment status in the visa category. But this momentary compromise lands them in long-term problems. It is obvious that when you accept a lower salary, you will face a number of problems in carrying on your day-to-day affairs.
The best way is to get in touch with approved recruitment consultants who are registered with Employment Authorities in India and get some offers from them. You will be taken to Bahrain on standard payments along with all formalities to which every job holder is entitled.
Hope this clarifies some issues coming to your mind.
Cheers,
