Dear All,
Thanks to Mr. Simhan for "Muslims in Workplace". It is a useful resource.
Another point is on request to attend prayers during noon on Fridays.
As a trainer for an organistion with Pan india presence & training staff, we do face situations where some participants (drawn from across India) say that they would need to go for prayers in the noon on Fridays. As that would mean missing one or two sessions (programmes are for a week or less) we notice that they miss out on some topics .We checked & found that there are requests for these Friday prayers too.
In fact we are still looking for a solution.
regards

I missed to add that though points 4.12 to 4.16 do have explanations to this issue, participants are not quite convinced, sometimes!

There is flexibility allowed in every religious practice; it all depends upon individuals whether they want to follow it in spirit or not. I asked a practicing Muslim what should a Muslim living in the Arctic Zone do, where the dawn to dusk is 24 hours per day, during Ramadan. He said they can follow the practices of nearby countries like Germany or France where it is shorter.
