stress in Professional Life is one of greatest reasons of WORK-LIFE IMBALANCE
There is stress in personal life for only selected few, only few have stress in both personal and professional life, but maximum have stress in only professional life which ruins their social life.

So for your research and questionnaire, if you select the due to personal stress, positive results are very low, but for professional stress, this is what the world is facing today.

I totally agree that due to overtime and stress at work.... our personal life is ruined but later this even effects the work life imbalance bcoz of the personal life tensions.
Its very true that today Hr faces problem when there is stress in personal life and the work life gets effected.
Few eg: usually gals after marriage leaves the job, when employee's any family members fall sick the work life is effected due to stress or excess leaves, some employees who face personal problems at home are not able to concentrate in their work. All this reduces their productivity.
Here the HR has to take special initiatives to understand the need of counseling to avoid such problems. for eg: avoid late sitting for female employees, maternity leaves, avoid working on public holidays + sundays, compensatory leaves, LTA, Mediclaim policy for employees along with their family members etc.
