Dear Seniors,
Currently my company is deducting their pf contribution Rs.780/- from my Gross salary and from that only Rs.240/- is depositing into PF a/c rest is into pension fund.
My company is deducting their contribution from my salary which is not legal as per pf section 31.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I want to know is it legal? If not what action I can take?

Dear Ashwin,
As per your post I didn’t find anything unethical practice is been carried out in your organization. PF is always deducted from employee on its Gross Salary. At the same time there is another contribution which has been paid by employer side which they might have been conveyed you in your CTC or appointment letter.

Dear Ashwin,
As said by Janardan, PF is 12% of basic salary and in case it is 780 which needs to be deducted from your salary. And the other part of PF (same amount as deducted from your salary) i.e. 780 will be added by your employer.
So, in a month total credit in your PF & Pension account is around 1560 and there is no such unethical practice in it.
