Hi friends, I am an advocate based in Delhi and usually i deal with the matters relating to IPR and company laws but recently one of my client has requested me to deal with the compliance in Labour law. Well they are esteemed builders in India and they want to have compliance.
So i request you guys to help me out in compliance i mean what do we really have to do specially in CLA AND BOCW Act 1996.
I mean what are the things which has to be kept in mind while taking work from them.
I will be really thankful to you if you could help me out.

its really nice .. two things in this postings.

01. a practicing lawyer entering into labour laws .. most welcome for you. hope you will serve better to HR fraternity

02. a construction company showing special attention towards statutory compliance

usually in our country majority of the construction companies not following statutory compliance. Contract workers regulation, Building and other construction workers act, Inter state migrant workers act, Work men compensation act and Environmental pollution related laws like water, ground , sound and other kind of pollution's occurring due to carrying of construction activity in particular locations, permissions from various government bodies (labour boards, Forests Dept) and Local Govt. bodies. instead of taking permissions and paying taxes and all they are managing with no .2 A/C. Even senior people who are heading the HR& admn teams not paying attention to train HR & site admn people in statutory compliance, they are advising tricks and smart games and how to manage with money. spent lavishly on training :-) you just give me a detailed mail what are the things you would like to know in terms of statutory compliance of a construction firm
