An employee had a misscarriage (12 weeks) in her second pregnanacy and she tooks 45 days leave benefit. Now she is pregnant again. Is she eligible for 26 weeks maternity leave ?

Yes... She is eligible.... There is a different leave for Miscarriage for 8 weeks. The 2 are not be to combined... Both are to be treated differently and both are for 2 occasions.

For 2nd pregnancy 26 days leave is to be sanctioned. Miscarriage is not delivery. There is no question of raring a child. But the woman is sick. In delivery the infant child is to be cared hence leave. Not for the 3rd or subsequent pregnancy.
