Hi, I am presently working in a Pvt Hospital in the East as HR-Manager. I have some employees who are working here for the last 25 yrs and in whose appointment letter, their retirement age is mentioned as 55 years. On the basis of them, can I fix the retirement age in this institution as 55 yrs for all as against the PF act, where under the Pension scheme requires for superannuation age to be 58 yrs. regards, Madhumita

Dear Maduhu ji,Usually the age limit for retairment in pvt.firms are 58 yrs. Because PF is also saying for superannuation age like that. If the management willing to continue his services, can be put them as 'Retainer'.Regards, PBS KUMAR
