But regarding this at the starting point of approval received, it has to be discussed and inform them that if you are going to salary more or equal to supervisor with same experience in the company then you have to ask them to change the designation as well.
If its not going to be done, then the supervisor salary has to been changed asap so that it doesn't match to the employee. If it has done recently that do the changes asap, before someone highlights like union and all.

The Queriest (Superior) says that the worker's (who is his subordinate) salary is increased by Management more than his salary. Generally, subordinate means those who work under the Superior and also report to him for all his works and in such situations; Management consider increase of Salary or Promotion etc., based on the recommendation of the Superior who will be the Section / Dept.Head; to maintain discipline of work in the concerned Dept. As rightly pointed out by some of the Members; Overlooking or disregarding Superior will not only demoralise Superiors but also affect his control and responsibility to accomplish Dept.work. Let us hope the Queriest will reveal all facts for the infn. of Members and to give proper comments. 12.12.17.

Dear All:
Your apprehensions and misgivings of how a worker can be given a higher salary than his supervisor / boss are outright illogical. Whatever the statutes and the HR manuals may say, as to who gets what - both in terms of salary and slabs - do not forget the performance - both in terms of roles and jobs - may have excelled in case of the worker, and may have even gone beyond that of the supervisor.
Performance and output with a keen insight on the mission statement, and the vision, may perhaps have the worker poised to be the CEO one day.
Also we need to change our management language - all are associates, and contextually, all are workers

It happens very often. And there is no restrictions to avert this nature. For the sake of understanding the underlining fact, the President of India is the highest employee of Indian government who in fact draws salary lesser than many of his colleagues in the ministries, defence & other sectors. Similarly salary of MLAsS & MPs. These differences cannot be considered as an anomalous on the plea the service conditions are different. And excepting govt. rules there is nothing to prevent a subordinate or junior drawing more salary than his/her superiors. But in no way the supervisor would be considered inferior to his subordinate despite his/her higher salary. The hierarchy does not get vitiated by this fact.
