hi coolsweetu05,
That is not a problem, u can do your masters in psychology. If your in Maharashtra then you can do it in from many universities. if possible do it from Pune / Mumbai University. In our college we have people who are doctors (homeopathy), teachers and from other fields also. but before opting for psychology first know what future is there and what suits you and then finally decide.
I am in the final semester of my MA Psychology, if you need more help do tell me, will surely help you.

hey psychohito,
1) Can you please tell me which colleges are best for MA in psychology(regular mode) in Pune and would take students irrespective of their graduate degree?
2) Moreover can you suggests some books to go through before i join the course so as to get the basic idea of the field before getting into it?
3) And pursuing the Masters course without the basic knowledge..will it be quite a jump? Are some of the basics of psychology also brushed upon in Masters program?
Thanks and kind regards,

hi coolsweetu05
1) University of Pune, SP College, Ferguson College, Modern College, Wadia College, DY Patil College, i know only about these colleges. As far as your admission is concerned you will have to talk to the respective HODs.
2) I don know on what basis you have decided to opt for psychology, but still "Psychology: An Exploration" by Saundra K. Ciccarelli is a very good book to start with.
3) Of course you need to have a very good base of graduation for your masters. You will be a master in that subject without even having any basic knowledge, so it will be difficult. But if you study all the basics then it definitely will help you.
You don worry about that, once you decide that you want to do your masters tell me, i'll help you out with the basics. I am not a scholar, but surely can guide you on that!!!!
