Bengaluru and Hyderabad are top destinations for companies looking to set up global capability centres (GCCs) in India, according to a study by staffing solutions firm NLB Services.

In fact, more than 65% of all companies have set up their first GCCs in either of the two cities.

Bengaluru will also be a leader in creating jobs in these GCCs, the report said. Nearly 3.64 lakh jobs are likely to be created by GCCs in India in the next year across sectors like banking and finance, IT, and telecom.

The emergence of India as an IT destination, especially with cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad hosting multiple tech centers, has increased the faith of international companies in Indian talent’s ability to drive global innovations, according to Amit Kalra, Head of GBS India, Swiss Re.
