Hello,
Your line--What pains me a lot is - I invested 7 years of my life in this company--doesn't arise as a lost time or effort.

You feel the way you feel BECAUSE you expected the result NOW.
What IF I told you that this effort is the stepping stone--meaning the experience & lesson gathered---for something that's to come after, say, a few years? Would you feel the same way? I don't think so.
If you think this is far-fetched, then just give a thought to what you learnt in school or college years ago--weren't they the foundations of what you are today? Quite likely, there's more to come for which your years @ College would still turn-out to be the stepping stone.

And here we are talking about Life's lessons--NOT Education that can be taught @ school/college. In Education, the lessons come first & the Tests later; in Life, the Tests come first & then the lessons that the person is supposed to learn. If someone doesn't learn.....well.....that's his/her problem & he/she ends-up doing the same mistake over & over again until he/she learns.
Just sing the AR Rahman jingle--'Don't worry Mustafa'--and move on.

All the Best.

Rgds,
TS

I think you should move on with your life and career. It’s really not worth wasting time and energy on this for a payout of 20 days.
