Dear friend,
With your confirmation, your training period was over. Regarding your resignation after confirmation, the rule pertaining to confirmed employees in the matter only will be applicable to you. Since the notice period fixed in your confirmation letter is 60 days, I think your employer's contention is correct.

Dear Mukulbana,
I am sorry to point out that you have never come up with all the facts in one go. You have been giving facts in bits and pieces as a result nobody is able to guide you properly. You have never come up with the fact earlier that you got the confirmation letter in January.Till now I was under the impression that you have signed one year contract with the organization and have completed 11 months. Now since you have mentioned that you have submitted your resignation after confirmation.I agreed with Sh Umakanthan that since the notice period fixed in your confirmation letter is two months, the employer is quite justified in asking notice for two months form you.
